Pine Whiff Beach Property Association Beaches

Pine Whiff Beach maintains three community beaches, simply known as Beach One, Beach Two and Beach Three. A map identifying the location of the three water access points is identified below.

Beach One features a kayak storage rack with a 12 unit capacity allowing association members to store kayaks closer to water access. The community charges a nominal annual rental fee of $30 per year to rent an individual storage space. Once the pier at Beach One is rebuilt, there will also be boat slips available for annual rent.

Beach Three features a pier with four boat slips available for an annual rental fee of $200.

Only residents of the community who are also Pine Whiff Beach Property Association members are eligible to use the beaches, rent kayak rack space and boat slips. See membership menu for details. Membership requires an annual fee of $100 per year, which is used to support the maintenance of the properties.

Living Shoreline Project: The Arundel Rivers Federation is assisting us with an exciting grant-funded project to protect Beach One from erosion and restore the shoreline. Thanks to Arundel Rivers, we have been awarded a grant for design and permitting, which will take place in 2025 and 2026. The design will include a living shoreline and marsh that will offer water access, an easier and safer kayak launch, and maintain the ability to rebuild our pier in the future. (We continue to fund-raise for the pier project separately.) When a design for the shoreline is finalized, it will be presented to the community. After the design phase, we will work with Arundel Rivers to apply for construction funding. We want to sincerely thank Gloria Shannon for her tireless efforts to get to this point, as well as Jennifer and Lily from Arundel Rivers, Anne Arundel County, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, the Chesapeake Bay Program, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and the EPA for their support of this project. Below are maps that show the project site and the rates of erosion over time. Update on August 18, 2025: Arundel Rivers has selected BayLand Consultants as our engineering firm. A packet is available below for download with more information on the project and example of BayLand’s past work.
